Board Charges per Semester

All resident students are required to participate in the board program, and must select from one of the meal plan options below.  All students are placed on Meal Plan II at the start of each school year.  Students may change their meal plan through the second week of the semester by emailing  The email must include student name, ID, and desired meal plan.  No changes are allowed to the meal plan after the second week of the semester.  Students must confirm meal plan changes by viewing the online billing system.

Monies must be used by the end of the school year (spring semester). If a student withdraws from housing during the semester, any excess money accumulated will be removed from the account; no credit for excess money will be given.

Commuter Meal Plan

We listened to you, commuters, and have made several changes we think you will enjoy!

The University and Sodexo have partnered to renovate dining facilities, to make them more welcoming to socialize, study and relax between classes.  To make these areas even more convenient, a Commuter Meal Plan has been established to provide our commuter students with the opportunity to experience the various food operations on campus. Much of the daily student interaction occurs in our dining areas where the entire University community (faculty, staff and students) visit for meals, activities, and events.

The Plan will allow commuting students to enjoy the convenience of eating at Charlie’s Place, the Flyers Den, the Courtyard Café, or using the C-Store (convenience store). Your University student ID will be used to access these options.

At any time during the semester, additional funds may be added to your account by visiting the University BursarOffice or the Sodexo Office.  Meal Plan balances will expire at the end of each academic year and will not be refunded.  Balances remaining at the end of the fall semester will roll forward to the spring semester.

Sodexo, who is nationally recognized, provides all the dining services on campus. They strive to provide exciting and innovative dining services that are healthy and affordable for all students, faculty, and staff.This initiative is being offered as part of Lewis University and Sodexo’s partnership for continuous enhancements to on campus dining.
