Upon registration, you will be added to the course Pathways to Ultra to learn more about migrating your original blackboard content to the new Blackboard Ultra experience. Reviewing this material before the working session is required. This session is ideal for all faculty and staff wishing to migrate their content early. The University will transition to Blackboard Ultra for all Fall 2024 courses.

#33 Online Teaching Certification
Date: Monday, May 15 - Sunday June 18, 2023

The Online Teaching Certification fulfills University requirements for faculty to teach online and blended courses at Lewis University. This five-week course is instructor led and completely online. All coursework is completed on the Lewis University Blackboard system. Participants will learn the basic pedagogical approaches, design principles, and technological tools that facilitate online learning. Faculty will be able to choose whether they wish to learn how to use the Blackboard Original or Blackboard Ultra interface Participants can expect to spend 3-5 hours per week completing coursework to meet weekly deadlines. Certification and the Online Teaching Certification micro credential badge is awarded to those who have successfully complete all required coursework within the duration of the program.
