This program is your opportunity to learn all about blackboard Ultra in a  self-paced five module course. Learn how to re-create your original content and teach in the Ultra experience. An emphasis will be placed on how to provision new course sections and successfully navigate Panopto file structure. Advice for curating and sharing content between courses and future course roll-overs will be discussed. In additional, we will also discuss how to correct the most commonly encountered Panopto issues by both students and faculty.

#2 Online Teaching Certification
Date: Monday, August 22, 2022 – Sunday, September 25, 2022
Time: Online with weekly optional synchronous sessions

The Online Teaching Certification fulfills University requirements for faculty to teach online and blended courses at Lewis University. This five-week course is instructor led and completely online. All coursework is completed on the Lewis University Blackboard system. Participants will learn the basic pedagogical approaches, design principles, and technological tools that facilitate online learning. Faculty will be able to choose whether they wish to learn how to use the Blackboard Original or Blackboard Ultra interface. Participants can expect to spend 3-5 hours per week completing coursework to meet weekly deadlines. Certification is awarded to those who have successfully completed all required coursework. Optional weekly office hours will be available.
