Jammin’ in the Studio Theatre at Lewis University

Published: October 4, 2017.

Join Heritage Theatre Company as they host the 4th Annual Alumni Connections Concert on Thursday, October 19 at 7:30p.m. in the Studio Theatre. This year the show features Clan Adam, a symphonic/techno-infused melodic metal band featuring Ashley Daun ’12 on lead vocals and a solo performance by singer/songwriter Ted Slowik ’87. Slowik will take the stage first followed by Clan Adam.

Clan Adam is composed of alumna Ashley Daun ’12 on lead vocals, Richard Snowden on guitar, vocals, and programming, Brandon Herrera on bass, and D.J. Michiels on drums. Based in Aurora, their music is best described as symphonic/electronica-laced hard rock with melodic metal ddrive. Their influences are “Evanscence,” “Within Temptation,” “Nightwish,” and “Sirenia.” An enthuastic fan posted, “melodic but heavy enough to bob your head.” Follow Clan Adam on www.reverbnation.com/clanadam.

Ted Slowik has been writing songs since the 1980’s and began performing solo originals on guitar after playing ass in various blues bands and rock bands for 30 years. His solo debut studio recording, “Comfort Zone,” was named a Top 10 Album of 2014 by Tom Lounges of the Northwest Indiana Times and Lakeshore Public Radio. His second collection of studio recordings, entitled “Second Chance,” capped a time of exciting and creative development as a songwriter and musician.
