Published: January 13, 2023.
February 28 is the deadline for students to apply for the TheDream.US scholarship at Lewis University. The full tuition scholarship is for academically qualified and highly motivated high school or community college students who meet current immigration eligibility criteria, including DACA or TPS status.
Lewis University is a partner college of TheDream.US, the nation’s largest college access and success program for DREAMers. This partnership provides scholarships to qualified immigrant students who came to this country as young children, or DREAMers. TheDream.US is the nation’s largest scholarship program that supports undocumented immigrant students who have Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) or Temporary Protected Status (TPS) authorization status but are not eligible to apply for federal financial aid to support a college education.
Scholarships cover tuition and fees up to a maximum of $33,000 for a Lewis University bachelor’s degree. Lewis University has committed to funding the gap in financial assistance to TheDream.US Scholars so that they may attend Lewis University with 100 percent of their tuition and fees covered.
Both high school students enrolling in Lewis University as well as community college associate degree recipients who wish to finish their bachelor's degree at a partner university are eligible to apply.
