Group Art Show on View Feb. 6-March 16 at the Lewis University Wadsworth Gallery

Published: February 3, 2023.

“Beyond Representation: Seeking New Forms” will be on view at Lewis University’s Brent and Jean Wadsworth Family Gallery from February 6- March 16. The exhibit is open daily from 9 a.m.- 9 p.m. It is free and open to the public.

A reception and gallery talk with the artists will take place from 7-9 p.m. on February 23 at the gallery, also free and open to the public.

This show features the new forms of abstract expression that artists Ben Dallas, Sally Havlis, Burleigh Kronquist and Jenny Roberts have developed.

These four artists accomplish imagery by intuitively experimenting with materials in distinctly different ways to explore various possibilities of abstract expression. They share a commitment to uncompromising quality and the wish to extend and explore the possibilities of abstraction.

The Wadsworth Family Gallery is housed in the Department of Art and Design and hosts various events, which include Lewis University student shows, local and regional artist shows, annual high school exhibits, faculty shows, academic-based exhibitions and cultural and religious-based art shows. More information is available about the Art Gallery and exhibits by contacting Natalie Swain, Art Gallery coordinator, at swainna@lewisu.edu.
