Lewis University Receives $350,000 IBHE Grant to Diversify Early Childhood Education Workforce

The Illinois Board of Higher Education awarded Lewis University a $352,994 grant to develop a pipeline of new, diverse and highly-qualified early childhood educators.††
Lewis University will use the funds to offer, mentor and support current career and technical educators enrolled in Early Childhood Education masterís degree program cohorts.††
After earning an endorsement or full masterís degree in Early Childhood Education, the career and technical educators will be qualified to facilitate classes in child development and early childhood education for high school students in a dual-credit course with community colleges and universities.†
